So a few days ago I had my friend Mazz in town. She's one of the ones I stayed with last time I visited London, and she was in the country for Dragon*Con. So I had her over so she could do a bit of shopping, see what Busch Gardens is all about, and just generally visit. She did D.C. first and then came down my way.
Friday was primarily chilling out, introducing her to the concept of Mystery Science Theater 3000, and taking her to Guardians of the Galaxy and a drugstore to buy her sister some Dramamine (they don't sell Dramamine over there???).
Taking a British person to Busch Gardens is an adventure in hilarity and awkwardness. She and Exedore and I ... well, we had rather a great time but that first step in with the mod London overhaul and red phone boxes and Union flags did give her a bit of pause. It must be like me walking into a Frankie & Benny's times a million.
Still, we did do what coasters and shows we could, and came back exhausted to watch Doctor Who with the Weird Uncle and Auntie D.
Sunday was low-impact again before seeing her off. Odds are I'll get to see her next year on one of my two trips over (yep, looking like separate trips), but this visit wasn't nearly long enough in the meantime. Teleporters, man. Someday.
If you have been, heeeey.

Last I hear from Co-Writer was a note a little under a week ago. I'm just gonna roll with the assumption that he's okay and we'll have comic (or at least proof of life) shortly.
