F.A.Q.: Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: What's a racequeen?A: Racequeens are models who serve as part of the pit crew in F1 races in Japan. Technically their job is to hold an umbrella to shade the driver while his car is worked on (hence 'umbrella girl'), but really she's there to promote the team and sponsors ... and, of course, to look pretty. Check out the Wiki entry for more information. Q: Why racequeens? A: I drew the first one (Hino Rei) as a gift when I couldn't make it to a friend's first race ... I was having surgery that weekend and wanted to be there very badly, but also didn't want him to worry. It became a tradition for me to send one along for each of his races after that, even the ones where I started being able to go. I still use racequeens as gifts and 'good luck' presents ... mainly because sometimes you just need a cute girl cheering for you from the sidelines. Q: Will you draw one for me, or do you take requests? A: Sorry, these are only for special occasions and gifts. This means slower and less frequent updates, but I'd also like to keep them sort of 'special.' Since I plan to be better about keeping up with things, though, you might see them a bit more often than you used to. Q: I want to use it as a gift for a friend, though. A: I'm sure you have great things you can do on your own that your friend will appreciate. ^_^ Q: Will you consider doing commissions/requests from this site in future? A: At a later date, I may. I'm thinking of a way to handle donations from here, or handling it in some other way, so that I don't just sit and churn these out for people. These did, after all, start out as presents, and even though I love showing them off, I also like to keep them special for my friends. Q: What's your connection to Thong Revolution? A: I'm buddies with JJ, and we like each other's stuff. Note that TR is adults-only, though. Q: Can I use your art for avatars/layouts/icons? A: Contact me and ask me first, please. Q: If I send you a racequeen, will you put it up? A: Sure! If I actually get any, I'll make a section for them. Even better if they're of one of my original characters. Q: Do you design the racequeen outfits in your pictures? A: Yep -- with the notable exception of Yunmao Ayakawa's on the 'Random' page (that's her actual one). I do reference other pictures, but I tend to cobble things together that I like. Note that I am not a designer by any means. Q: How come some have numbers and some don't?
